Refund & cancellation policy
The short version: try the free plan first, because paid plans are not refundable once bought. If a payment goes wrong, we fix it.

Try it free before you pay
The free plan costs nothing and needs no card. It gives you 20 videos, 8 sets of study notes, 20 photographed pages and 100 AI questions — in total, once, not every month. PDF uploads are unlimited and are not part of that.
Nothing expires and nothing is deleted when the allowance runs out. Every transcript, note and document you made stays in your library, searchable and exportable, for as long as the account exists. What stops is adding new material.
That exists so you can find out whether LearnMap suits how you study before any money changes hands. Please use it. The refund position below is only reasonable because this comes first.
Paid plans are not refundable
Once you buy the 6 Months plan at ₹1,499, or a ₹99 top-up, the payment is final. We do not refund because you changed your mind, stopped studying, found you did not use it as much as you expected, or no longer need it.
The reason is that the cost is incurred immediately and cannot be recovered: the moment you add a video we pay to fetch its captions, and the moment you generate notes we pay an AI provider to read the whole transcript. That money is spent on your behalf as you use the service, not held until the period ends.
When we do refund
These are failures on our side, and we refund them in full:
- You were charged twice for the same plan or top-up.
- Money was taken but your plan never activated — you paid and your account still shows Free after a day.
- You were charged without authorising it — a payment you did not make appears on your account.
- We close your account for a reason that is not your fault — in which case we refund the unused part of what you paid.
- We withdraw the service during a period you have paid for — again, the unused part.
A video having no captions, a lecture being longer than the two-hour limit, or an AI answer you disagree with are not failures of this kind. The first two are refused before anything is charged against your allowance, and the third is covered in our terms.
How to ask for one
Email learnmap.in@gmail.com from the address on your account, within 7 days of the charge, with the date and amount and what went wrong.
We reply within 3 working days. An approved refund is sent back to the card or account you paid from — we cannot send it anywhere else — and usually appears within 5 to 7 working days, depending on your bank.
Cancelling
There is nothing to cancel. The 6 Months plan is a single payment covering six months from the day you pay. It does not renew, we do not store your card, and no further charge is ever made without you starting a new purchase yourself. So there is no subscription to stop and no date you need to watch for.
You can stop using LearnMap whenever you like. If you want the account closed altogether, email learnmap.in@gmail.com from the address on the account and we will close it. There is no self-service delete button yet. Closing an account early does not refund the period you have paid for.
When the six months end, your account drops back to the free plan. Nothing you have made is deleted: your transcripts, notes, documents and saved items stay in your library and you can still read, search and export them. What changes is how much new material you can add.
Top-ups
A ₹99 top-up applies to the 30-day period you are in when you buy it, and expires with that period. Unused parts of a top-up are not carried forward and are not refunded. This is why the app will not sell you one until something has actually run out, and warns you if your period is nearly over.
Top-ups are only sold to 6 Months subscribers. The free allowance is a one-off rather than a monthly one, so there is no period for a top-up to apply to.
Paid classrooms
A paid classroom is taught by an independent lecturer who publishes it on LearnMap. You pay LearnMap, and we pay the lecturer. The price and the length of access — for example ₹499 for six months — are shown on the classroom's page before you pay, and what you buy is access to that one classroom for that length of time.
The same rule applies as to the plan above: once you have paid, the payment is final. We do not refund because the classroom was not what you expected, you did not get round to it, or you changed your mind. So read the classroom's page before you pay — the topics, the price and the length of access are all on it — and ask the lecturer anything you are unsure about first.
The one exception is the same one as above — a failure rather than a change of mind. If a lecturer abandons a classroom — stops answering, removes the material, or never adds what the page described — tell us. If we agree, we refund the unused part of your access. That is our responsibility, because you paid us and not the lecturer, and it is not something we will ask you to take up with them.
After your access runs out, your ticks and your place in the discussion stay where they are, and you can buy access again. Doing so adds to whatever time you have left, so buying early costs you nothing. Nothing renews by itself.
If you are still unhappy
Write to learnmap.in@gmail.com and say so. We would far rather sort it out directly than have you raise a dispute with your bank, and we will look at any case on its merits even where this policy says no.
